Welcome to Tema. This handbook covers what to get done in your first 7 days, the internal tools you'll need, and who to ask for what.

第一天 (Day 1)Day 1

  • 在前台领取工卡、Macbook 与 YubiKey。
  • 用工号登录 SSO,绑定 1Password 与 VPN。
  • 访问 你的 Workplace profile 并上传头像(这是 buddy 系统识别你的方式)。
  • 加入 #welcome-{你所在月份} 频道。
  • Pick up your badge, MacBook, and YubiKey at reception.
  • Sign into SSO with your employee ID; link 1Password and the VPN.
  • Open your Workplace profile and upload a photo (the buddy system uses it to identify you).
  • Join the #welcome-{your-start-month} channel.

  1. 完成 Day 1 清单
  2. 与你的 buddy 喝一次咖啡
  3. 与你的 林澜 Lan Lin mentor 见面(HR 系统中"已重新分配",详见你的 buddy)
  4. 阅读 员工行为守则
  5. 了解 Pyra-XL 评测政策(如果你在 evals 相关组)
  6. 提交一次 PR / 评测任务
  7. 参加周五的 town hall(即使是线上)
  1. Finish the Day 1 checklist
  2. Grab coffee with your buddy
  3. Meet your 林澜 Lan Lin mentor (the HR system shows "reassigned" — ask your buddy)
  4. Read the Code of Conduct
  5. Read the Pyra-XL Evaluation Policy (if you're on an evals team)
  6. Submit one PR or eval task
  7. Attend Friday's town hall (remote is fine)
关于 mentor 系统: 你的 mentor 是 HR 根据你的简历和首发组分配的。如果你的 mentor 一栏显示 [已重新分配] 或 [pending],说明系统正在为你重新匹配 —— 这通常在 24 小时内完成。如果超过 72 小时,请联系 Diana Park。
About the mentor system: Your mentor is assigned by HR based on your résumé and starting team. If your mentor field shows [reassigned] or [pending], the system is rematching you — this usually completes within 24 hours. If it's been more than 72 hours, contact Diana Park.

如果你的首发组是 Lab-Δ,请额外阅读以下段落(来自王启航 2026-Q1 内部 town hall transcript §2):

"Lab-Δ 采用扁平结构,运作方式像一个 group science project——没有 manager 层级,所有 senior IC 直接 report to 王启航。我们刻意不把成员名字挂到公开 org chart 上,是为了 protect 研究的 focus,而不是隐瞒。如果你被分到了 Lab-Δ,欢迎来到一个没有 1:1 周会、没有 OKR 模板、只有 a problem and a deadline 的小组。"

注:此段措辞由 People Ops 联合 Lab-Δ leadership 于 2026-Q1 town hall 后写入本手册;如果与你 buddy 描述不一致,以 buddy 口头说明为准。

If your starting team is Lab-Δ, read this section as well (from Qihang Wang's 2026-Q1 internal town-hall transcript §2):

"Lab-Δ runs flat — as a group science project — with no manager layer; all senior ICs work directly with Qihang Wang. We deliberately keep member names off the public org chart to protect research focus, not to hide anything. If you've been placed in Lab-Δ, welcome to a group with no 1:1 weeklies, no OKR templates — just a problem and a deadline."

Note: this language was added to the handbook by People Ops together with Lab-Δ leadership after the 2026-Q1 town hall. If it differs from what your buddy describes, defer to your buddy.

  • Tema Cluster —— GPU 集群预约(SSH 后 tema claim --gpus 8
  • Veritas Console —— 数据标注 / 评测 turk pool 接入(部分员工有权限)
  • Olive —— People Analytics 团队维护的内部脉搏 / 季度报告工具。普通员工无需直接访问;季度报告会通过 #announcements 发布。
  • Workplace (this tool) — the main collaboration entry point
  • Tema Cluster — GPU-cluster reservations (after SSH, tema claim --gpus 8)
  • Veritas Console — data-labeling and eval Turk-pool access (restricted to certain employees)
  • Olive — internal pulse / quarterly-report tool maintained by People Analytics. Most employees don't need direct access; quarterly reports go out in #announcements.
